maryland state backers -- taking some steps to keep the mosquito population in check. >> nadia ramdass is live where crews will spray later this evening. >> state agriculture officials are stepping up their efforts to control of the mosquito population by spraying affected neighborhoods. they are spreading here at milford mill. milford mill is one neighborhood that has shown evidence of the virus. spraying -- they will start spraying around 7:00 p.m. tonight. officials are urging you to stay inside during the spraying. >> the idea is that we will get in there and the sprays will

murder at towson town center in the shooting death of 19-year- old rodney pridget. prosecutors contended frank williams and william ward had a hit on pridget. williams and ward will be sentenced next month. the student that was injured in the perry hall shooting is improving, according to his father. the incident made national headlines. >> driving down 95 and get the call it was daniel. i'm like, what was daniel? my son told me that daniel was shot. i knew at that point in time that it was not time for that

she had been paying close attention to her mosquito bites. there has been confirmed evidence of the west nile virus and she is thinking about her safety. >> it is kind of scary. i have six mosquito bites. i'm wondering, do i have it? it is very scary. >> the state agriculture department was brave the affected areas around 7:30 p.m. tonight. anyone who lives around campfield road should avoid going outside during the spraying. >> the idea is that we will get in there and the sprays will knock down the mosquito population, which is most likely carrying the virus, and of course this reduces human exposure. >> they need to do what they don't need to do. if more people do not die, then do what you have to do.
